Originally from Grand Island, Nebraska, I attended Hastings College and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduation, I entered the Physician Assistant program at Butler University/Clarion Health in Indianapolis, Indiana, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. After certification with special recognition in surgery, I began my career in Family Practice at a busy practice in Kingsville, Texas. There, I casted fractures, interpreted x-rays, ran a weight loss clinic, and cared for patients at the local nursing homes and correctional facilities. In addition I performed medical screenings for Transportation Security Administration (TSP) applicants.
After five years in family practice, I transitioned to a Dermatology practice in San Diego, CA. There I had the opportunity to run a satellite clinic and received advanced training in cosmetic procedures including injectables and laser therapies in addition to a focus on skin cancer surgery. My husband's job relocated us to Daytona Beach, FL where I joined Ormond Beach Dermatology and practiced for four years, receiving extensive training in skin cancer surgery and cosmetic procedures. While working in Florida, I became a Diplomate in Dermatology as well as earning an MBA from the University of Florida. I am a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Throughout my career, I have focused on the patient first. I enjoy both medical dermatology and cosmetic procedures and will do my best to tailor them around my patients' lifestyles and needs.

Laura Gharibian, Licensed Aesthetician
I am from Los Angeles, California. I have been in Middle Tennessee since June 2007 due to the relocation of my husband's job. It's been a great experience and we are enjoying the opportunity to experience another part of this beautiful country of ours. I have dual licensure for aesthetics in California (since 2004) and now in Tennessee since 2009. I was a licensed massage therapist from 2000 to 2006 and have found the transition to aesthetics to be natural and very enjoyable. Having worked at various salons, spas and chiropractic offices I have gained invaluable experience. I now find the combination of medical care in aesthetics to be extremely rewarding. I love that the medical environment offers clients a real opportunity to achieve their skin goals no matter what conditions they are dealing with. Outside of work I love to cook and bake, work-out, spend time outdoors, watch movies and spend time with my husband of ten years.
